Clustering Recommendation |
|
|
Hi,
We want to complete a scenario where we have two web servers and two SQL
servers, with one of each being in two seperate datacentres. We'd like to
get to the stage where both web and sql servers are clustered. The problem
we have is keeping the data the same in both datacentres. Can someone
recommend any hardware (maybe a SAN configuration) or software that would be
suited to this?
Thanks a lot,

Ian,
For hardware solution, you might want to look at EMC with SRDF. They also
have a product (SRDF/CE) that can assist with automating failover to your DR
site utilizing the SRDF technology.
If you don't have a couple million bucks to spend, you might want to look to
a software solution. Companies like NSI, XoSoft, and Legato are a few that
sell clustering solutions using IP based replication technologies.
You might also want to review the following KB article for more details
about MSCS and geographically dispersed clustering:
Windows clustering and geographically separate sites
