Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct newsgroup to post this question, please
advise if not.

I have a client who is running Windows SBS 2003 with the default
installation of the WSS intranet component as the default web site. I
installed the WSS SP1 (KB841876) and now the default company website is not
available. I can open the 'Administer the company's internal web site' pages
and navigate through the management pages.

I can open the Top-Level Site Administration pages as well. For example, I
can select 'modify site content' click on 'Customize Incoming Faxes', click
'Change general settings' and view this page and click OK and it works okay.
But if I click on the "Go Back to Incoming Faxes" link I receive this error
message: "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040E14."

When you try to open the home page of the company web (http://companyweb/)
you receive "The page cannot be displayed" error, HTTP 500 - Internal server
error.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much, Neal...

No you're right.

This is the newsgroup from SharePoint Team Services. (.teamservices)

The WSS newsgroup you are looking for is

microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices (*but read on before you go
there now*)

but only if your question is about standard functionality of WSS.

In the case of an installation of WSS within SBS 2003 or in the case of
functionality that is only in the SBS 2003 implementation of WSS (as in this
case with the Fax functionality which is only available in SBS 2003/WSS),
please post to

microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

which is the newsgroup you thus need for this question
