Re: Unable to limit library access??? |

SBS 2003 Standard includes Windows SharePoint Services (WSS).
This newsgroup is for SharePoint Team Services (the older and now superceded
product).
The newsgroup for WSS is microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices please
post WSS questions there.
[The usual reason why people who don't have Administrator access within WSS
can still *update* documents they shouldn't be able to update is because
they are Local Administrators for the box containing WSS. The usual way to
exclude people from accessing a document library is to amend the list of
people able to access the document library (via opening the document and
then Modify Settings ... etc.). If neither of these answers are enough
please post your original question again to the WSS newsgroup as above.]

problem. I am the Administrator. I want to lock out serveral "power" users
out of theses areas. I have had them at Adminstrator Level. I have now
changed them to a lower designation yet they are still able to access
these
areas.
The other users that were never power users can't access them. I have even
tried changing the access user group to being the same as the user groups
that can't access, yet these users are still able to access theses areas.
I hope someone is able to help (SBS2003 Standard).
Thanks Kevin
