Im new at this. Just installed WSS on 2003. The home page looks fine
except there is no search bar. What am I missing? by the way its WSS
v.2 w/SP1. Thanks.

This is not the newsgroup for Windows SharePoint Services (WSS)

Please post WSS questions to microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices

and when you do please give yourself a real name (like "Jim Smith") in the
From section.

The answer by the way is that you have installed the default version of WSS
which includes WMSDE.

This default version does not include Search which only comes when you are
using SQL Server 2K as your DB system.
