SharePoint message |

I maintain our company's web site and sometime after I upgraded to Office
2003 and when attempting to open the local files of the web site (hosted
remotely)I get the following message:
"An error occurred accessing your windows SharePoint services. Authors – If
authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster for this
server’s web site. – Webmasters – please see the server’s application event
log for more details"
The log event read the following:
The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Windows SharePoint
Services 2.0 Error Reporting ) cannot be found. The local computer may not
have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display
messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag
to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following
information is part of the event: frontpg.exe, 11.0.6356.0, 40aed730,
fpsrvutl.dll, 11.0.6353.0, 408f26f9, 0, 0000cc21
I don't subscribe to SharePoint services, what could I do to resolve this?
If SharePoint is installed in my computer can I uninstall it?
Thank you |
