I have a fairly modern being used as a file server with Exchange 5.5 as
well. I need to find out the most methodical way to install SBS 2003 (with
the latest exchange over this install) I gather I need to backup the
info/public stores or exmerge everything to another box. If someone has
experience with this situation, I'd greatly appreciate some insight.

go to this link

about two thirds of the way down is instructions for upgrading from NT 4

you can also go to sbsmigration.com for assistance.
