I am novice at SharePoint, and I am using the OpenText Livelink and plan to
migrate the Livelink to SharePoint. Therefore, I need more information about
SharePoint beforehand:

1. Can SharePoint be integrated with the File System of the XP Worksattion?
So the user can access the SharePoint folder using drive letter via File
Explorer, and the user can search document just the same as searching the
file system of his/her local drive.

2. Does SharePoint support data categorization and classification? How?

3. Can SharePoint be integrated with Microsoft AD so all access control can
be managed via AD?

4. Does SharePoint support data compression for low-bandwith users,
encryption of the file?

5. Does SharePoint work with NetScreen SSL VPN?

6. Does SharePoint support off-line storage? This means the remote users can
perform document editing, creating on his/her local PC. Once the connection
is established via SSL VPN, the latest copies of the documents on the user's
PC can be synchronized to the original location of the documents at the
backend SharePoint server after the user's click button to synchronize.

7. Does SharePoint support Internet access.

8. Integration between Windows 2003 server file system and SharePoint?
Any technical reference link or in-depth technical description of the above
questions or else?

Thank you.

This is a repeat of your earlier message - see my answer to that (and try
not to post twice).
