Hi Jim,
I suggest you check the following issues:
1. Does this problem occur to one client computer or to all client
computers?
2. You can check the IE version and make sure the latest IE patches are
installed.
3. What document type are you trying to open? Is it Office document? If it
only occurs to Office document, this problem may also caused by Office.
What Office version you have installed?
4. Also, you can check the application event log to see if any IE error is
found.
