Accessing User Role In SPS/WSS through Web part |
|
|
hi.
To put it simple, the web part i am developing will render base on the
user roles.
I.E. The features of the web part is hidden/shown based the roles of
the user.
i am quite new in SPS/WSS programming. What must i do..
I have read a few forums and ask some seniors, they say when user log
in as Admin, getting the roles of the user is ok but if a user log in
as a different role, he can access the web part.
pls advice ^^..thank you |

You seem to be asking about programming techniques.
Please note that there is a new newsgroup for WSS programming -
microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices.development where there is a lot
of expertise.
We are trying to concentrate programming questions there, so could you
please post your question (again) there (and post future programming
questions only there)?
Note too that if you have programming questions that rely on SPS 2003 being
present that there is an equivalent programming newsgroup for those too
(microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver.development)
Thanks.
