I have a computer that is unable to get the Login dialog box to any or my
Sharepoint Sites. Did a test and discovered that the issue seems to be
related to the internet service being used. The computer connects using The
Hughes Direcway (DirecPC) 2way Satelite service.
I was able to access the WSS site using a dial-up account. I have just
stated researching and was courious if anyone has encountered this problem.

Thanks.

You may also want to make sure the IE settings are setup to use Integrated
Windows Authentication. This can be found in Tools/Internet
Options/Advanced Tab - Towards the bottom.

Hello James,

Enable Integrated Windows Authentication was already checked.
Any other suggestions?

I had the same problem with a Firewall (Webmarshall or something like this).
We included our sharepoint site in his allowed sites list and fixed.

Double check the security setting in your IE. Go to the Security Tab on the
Internet Options dialog box, then select the Web content zone (Local
intranet for your SP site), click Custom Level. Scroll down to the bottom of
the Security settings, select "Prompt for user name and password" for User
Authentication.

I hope this works...

Good Luck,
