I need to move a WSS site from server01 (intranet) to server02
(extranet). Both servers have WSS installed, but they are in different
domains. Assuming I have admin access to both servers, can I still use
the smigrate.exe tool?

Thanks,
Tim

I would recommend using the "STSADM" tool to migrate the sites. It's pretty
simple, backup it up with STSADM and then restore it to the new server.

Since I was moving sub-sites, I decided to use smigrate. It worked
well, but you lose the security info once the site is migrated.

Also, you have to specify the user ID and password when you run
smigrate; otherwise you will receive "ERROR: 6553609 You are not
authorized to perform the current operation." when you try to restore
the site.
