create accounts on user request |
|
|
hello,
i am planning to use sharepoint to run a public forum. i will allow
anonymous reads, but when people post, i want their real names to show up
(not anonymous). therefore i need accounts for everybody who wants to post.
i don't want (my) manual intervention to be required to create an account...
i would rather have the people complete some form (like a sharepoint survey)
and have an account for them generated automatically, as it happens on most
public forums. any ideas?
all information will be highly appreciated!
regards,

I don't have the immediate answer but this could be a work around and how we
use anonymous discussions on sharepointcommunity.com.
Simply add some fields in New Discussion form that asks the user to fill out
the Name and any other information you may want. This is very similar to
how the MS Newsgroups work.
