Sending users alerts about new added documents |

Hi,
Is there a way to sign different users in SPS to receive alerts without
requiring them to login and manually select an alert? |

There's a free web part from Jan Tielens.
Look in section VII of the WSS FAQ. It's called "Essentials".

Aside:
SPS is the abbrieviation for SharePoint Portal Server (newsgroup
microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver) and usually has 2003 or 2001 after
the name to cover the two versions.
the abbrieviation for Windows SharePoint Services (this newsgroup) is WSS.
