I downloaded and installed the trial version of Host Integration Server 2004.
However, I can not find the Shared Folder Service nor any documentaion about
it and I need the service to connect to shares on an AS/400. The service is
standard in SNA Server 3.0 and 4.0 and from what I read, also standard in HIS
2000. Can anybody tell me how I can activate this service in HIS 2004?

Syd,

There are other ways to achieve the same end - depending on what exactly you
want to do...

A couple are :-

1. Use the IFS filesystem on the AS/400 to let the AS/400 use "pc" (NT shares)
filesystems.

2. Make the files available via FTP on the AS/400 and use a product such as
WebDrive (www.webdrive.com) to allow the FTP connection to be mapped as an NT
drive letter on a pc.
