I have 2 Nics in my server - 1 connected to Cable Modem - other connected to
my Wireless Router.
I have tried both enabling and disabling the firelwall during this setup and
same error occurs.
Select enable Internet email, forward all email to email server at my ISP as
I do not host email locally. I enter the correct Email Server Name of my ISP
which I current use successfully on clients POP 3 mail.
Select Use the MSFT Connector for Pop3 Mailboxes
Leave Email Domain Name blank as I do not have my hosted anywhere at this
point.
Mailboxes are setup correctly...checked this...

Get the following error:
An error occurred while configuring a component
To continue with the wizard and configure remaining components , click ok
To end the wizard without configuring the remaining components, click
cancel.

also in the icwlog.txt file the following error shows up:

calling DoSmtpRelayIp ().
Error 0x80072030 returned from call to DoSmtpRelayIp().
Error 0x80072030 returned from call to EnableSMTPConnector().
Error 0x80072030 returned from call to CEMailCommit::Commit().
calling GetBOConnector ().
Error 0x80005000 returned from call to GetBOConnector().

Any help would be deeply appreciated have been fighting this for some time....

Hi Rich,

I'm not sure if it will sort the error, but it might - you have to have an
email domain. In your case, it's isp.com (whatever comes after the @ in the
email address you have with your ISP).

The wizard shouldn't let you proceed any further with a blank because it
can't do it's job without an email domain, but from what you are saying it
is allowing the blank.
