Hello, I accidently deleted my SharePoint Configuration Database from my
SharePoint server (SQL Enterprise Manager). In the process of getting it
back, I am getting the following error from the server itself and when I try
to connect to it from a workstation:

"The virtual server that is referenced here is not in the config database."

After Setting the Configuration Database Server multiple times, I still get
the error.

Can anyone help please???

Blake:

The SharePoint Configuration Database is unique to each instance of
SharePoint. When you restore a sharepoint instance, you delete the
configuration database, reinstall, and then restore your content. It took
me a long time to understand this myself, and it can be a bit confusing.
