Re: Changing IP address of Domain Controller |

Hi,
It shouldn't be a problem to change IP address of your domain controllers.
Still there are few things to pay attention to -- like DNS.
I assume your active directory server is also your internal DNS server. If
so, then make sure that this change is also reflected on your clients.
On DC itself, once you make an IP change also check DC's DNS settings (DNS
settings under TCP/IP). Make sure that IP address for preferred DNS server
on DC also points to active directory DNS (or if you have Windows 2003 DC
you could enter 127.0.0.1 for preferred DNS server as long as this server is
also your DNS server). After you make these changes, restart NetLogon
service on DC. This will update appropriate records in your active directory
DNS.
I hope this helps. If you have any additional questions about these steps,
feel free to post back.

screw up the Active Directory structure, etc?
