Hello,

I upgraded Sharepoint from the WMSDE database to the Sql Server 2000
database.
I then enabled full text search.

Unfortunately, the Search Web Parts and Search.aspx are not available
in the site.

I tried reinstalling Sharepoint on the server, but have not restarted
the server yet. I still don't see search.aspx or the Search web parts.

Can somebody provide the steps to install these files?
Thank you,
Brian Takita

Are you sure you have SPS and not just WSS?

You need SPS for that search functionality. WSS provides free text
searching only.

Nige.

I have Sharepoint Server in a Windows 2003 Small Business Server
Premium Edition environment.

On Jan 6 I posted two advisories about not doing this with SBS2003.

You might want to look at one of them.

I do have WSS after all.
I thought SBS came with SPS.

No. It doesn't come with either. WSS is a part of Win2K3 Server,

which is the OS on which SBS is part. The company web and the default
web site are built with WSS, so the confusion is natural.
