HI,
I have installed sharepoint portal server2003.
When a file is opened in read-only mode and saved - it is saved in the same
name.and all the previous versions are lost.
What do I do to stop saving the readonly version with the original name.

If it is read only, how can you overwite?

it seems u overwrote the file. how about checking out the file before u edit
and save the file?
