MCF newbie, how to use this ? |
|
|
Hi
I am a newbiw to the MCF, I have read a lot of places that the MCF can be
used to connect MOM to other products.
But how ?
Should VB code be executed on a response to at script or ? should XML files
be written and placed on the server, that the MCF automaticly execute ?
Could some one please help me on ;-)

From what I recall, you need to import the appropriate
management packs for 3rd party products after you have
installed the files that enable MCF in the first place. I
*believe* you select the MCF option when you install MOM
initially.

You can get more information about Connectors (MCF) from the Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/management/mma/catalog.aspx
There is also information in the MOM 2005 SDK (root/Using MOM/Using the MOM
Connector Framework Clas Library):
http://www.microsoft.com/mom/downloads/sdk/default.mspx
