I'm using the Server Backup that comes with SBS 2003 and an Exabyte VXA-1
tape drive. The drive is and server are only 4 months old. The backup
operations finish regularly with the error "The Requested Media Failed to
Mount". The unusual thing is, is when reading the log file, the backup had
started and been running for about 3 hours when I receive this error.

Any Ideas?

i'm also encounter the same problem on the Win2k3 today. Well this is
basically what i do to solve the problem.(Not sure work or not but it work
fine when i tested it.)

a) Rename the tape in the Removable Storage. Example: Mon Tape, Tue Tape, etc
b) Set the scheduler backup according to Tape. Change The description and
media name according to tape name.
c) During specific day, (e.g: Monday) , the system will look for Mon tape
and mount it before the backup process begin. (make sure you put the correct
tape name)

Note: This is my solution. Not sure whatever it work or not coz i'm waiting
for the result tomorrow.
