I'd like to be able to test the availability of web sites on port 80
from my MOM server or one of the agents. I found a script located at
http://www.momanswers.com/displayarticle.asp?ArticleID=253 but am
having alot of trouble with that. Anyone have any better suggestions
out there?

Thanks!

Hi,

Wait for the Web Sites and Services Management Pack. It will be released
soon.

This MP will help you monitoring web sites and web Services.

There is a utility that comes with the Windows Based Hosting solution found
here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1cb154f4-2b88-45e8-8a6d-bf41ccbf386b&DisplayLang=en
If you go to the link there is a zip that you can download call Monitoring
and reporting
http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/c/5/ec553d88-0bec-4255-97a3-a914f0ea8d92/Monitoring%20and%20Reporting.zip

Inside the zip file there is a utility called http pinger that can be used
for just about any website.

Hope this helps,

Does anyone know if we can pass credentials as part of the web requests? (the
netiq appmanager web stuff allowed us to do this).

I need to test back end web content that is only accessible via a front end
login page
