Is MOM 2005 able to manage two computers with the same workgroupname and
clientname but with different IP address?

I am sure (I've tested it ..) that HP OVO in able to manage the situation
because agents in HP-OVO are inserted in ManagedComputer by an "ID", not by
name.

The scenario is:

- A Company want to sell MOM-monitoring service to several customers:
- Customers may have equal IP Addressing schema, the same domain/workgroup
name and also the same Machine Name ..

I have find the solution to avoid the problem of "same IP Address Schema"
using VPN and NATting ..

Any suggestions?

TAL!

Unfortunately there is no way to do this with MOM.
Even if you did some DNS trick or something, when the MOM agent sends up
data - it associates it to the combination of computer namd and
domain/workgroup name.

Adding this feature to a future version of MOM is being discussed.

Hello, Cesare!

I want use MOM for same reason!
I have same scenario; many remote server have different Domain name but same
NetBIOS name machine.
I think to bypass problem just with NATting and custom DNS entry.
I have test this??

PS: You are italian isn't it?
