New rule to monitor service not working - blackberry service.
I copied the wmi service is not running rule. I modified parameter 5 equal
to spooler as a test and it worked. I stopped the spooler service and got a
notification.
I then copied the script and changed parameter 5 to equal the blackberry
service. I also changed the source name to our blackberry server(i don't
think that would be a factor?). The event id is set for 21207. I even
changed it to the event id 7031 that shows up in event viewer on the
blackberry server when the service is stopped.
no alert or notification. What am i missing?
thanks

Nevermind. Not sure what the fix was. i changed the source name back to
microsoft operations manager and the event id to 21207. it's either that or
a clean stoppage of the blackberry service. previously i had errors stopping
that service.
