I have setup mom 2005 on w2k3 box. I was able to add the two wk2 box to
be a managed agent for mom and also added myself as operator for all
the notification group. Now I need to test the email alerts.

How can test mom 2005 email notification?

I want to setup the same mom box as smtp server to setup the send
emails out and I have completed the registry entry to send emails.
But still I'm not seeing aay emails

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mission Critical
Software\OnePoint\Configurations\<Configuration group
name>\Operations\Consolidator
Note The configuration group name is the name that you created during
the initial setup of the MOM configuration group. You may have more
than one configuration group. In that case, you must change the
registry subkey for each configuration group.

3. Click New, click DWORD value, type SendSmtpAnonymous for the DWORD
value name, and then press ENTER.
4. Double-click SendSmtpAnonymous. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box,
type 1 in the Value data: field, and then click OK.

Brian, I have added myself to all the nofitication groups, my I don't
see any tasks like that.
Please let me know more on that particular task to test email
notification.

I don't have a MOM instance handy (at home now), but, I think if you go into
the Computers view of the Operator console, pick a PC, and then goto the
Tasks pane, there's an option to generate a test alert.

The other solution, load MOM agent on a test box, put yourself in the
Network Admins (i think) Notification group, and stop some services on teh
test box. This should brew up some alerts.
