What you are asking is not possible in MOM 2005, nor is this something that
we are planning for future a release.

I was wondering if it's possible to setup the following:
The MOM agents are sending the MOM internal events not directly to the
DCAM
with TCP 1270 but the events are first translated to an SMTP message and
then send to a mail box where a DCAM SMTP/POP3 process is polling. The
mail
messages are then read by the DCAM and imported as normal agent events. ?
I ask this question because we have to monitor some win2000/3 servers that
can only do SMTP OUTBOUND communication.
Can it done with a sort of SMTP proxy , or with a MSMQ solution ? Or by
copying the agentqueu's ??
Any ideas ? This would be a nice add-on feature to MOM 2005+
Thanks,
michel
