How to change Resolution State for a big bulk of Alerts? |
|
|
We use MOM2005 and one of our customer rule, which was unfortunately
missconfigured, produced a hell of a lot alerts during the last couple of
days.
To manually change resolution state by selecting multiple alerts costs me
much time!
Is there a way via Task or Script how to automate this?
Is there only the way of changing resolution state to resolved? Or is there
another easy way to get rid of these "wrong" alerts? |

Sylvia-
You can do this with the .Net SDK I'm sure. I haven't used the MOM API yet,
so how exactly I'm not certain. I'd just sort the operator console and
select 100 at a time and hit resolve. It will take a while, but probably
less time than engineering a script.

Hello Brian,
thanks for your reply. Your hint of .net SDK is maybe a good one, I'll check
it today to save me in future from this sort of problem I had yesterday. In
the end I spent over 3 hours to get rid of all the alerts with your proposed
method
regards
Sylvia
