Hi,

I've installed SQL Reporting services and MOM Reporting on a seperate server
(in the same domain) to my MOM 2005 server.

It works fine if I'm an admin. I've been into SQL Reporting Services and
granted a domain group permissions on the top level report folder. That seems
to have filtered down to the lower level folders.

If I login to a workstation as a member of that group and access the SQL
Reporting server I can navigate within the MOM Report folders - but when I
choose a report and it's going to fetch the report parameters that I can
choose from I get prompted by IE for a usernane/password. If I login as the
same user - it doesn't work. If I login as an admin here it works OK.

Any ideas on what I have missed?

Thanks
Charles

I found this entry in the help files for SQL reporting services that may help
with the issue you are encountering. "If the report server is running under
a local account, you must specify local groups or users. If the report server
is running under a domain account, you must specify domain groups or users."

I used the Network Service account for Reports Server service and therefore
had to add domain groups to the local groups for the security to work
correctly.

I'm not toally sure if it solves your issue, but you might add the

domain user group to the SC DW Reader local group.
If that doesn't work, maybe some ntfs permissions for the reporting web
are not 'open' enough.

I agree. This is probably the source of the problems. You can also get more
information from the MOM 2005 Security Guide:

You can get the Security Guide at:
