Internet Explorer Script Error & HTTP error |
|
|
I have installed CS2002(FP1) + SQLServer(SP3) on my WinXP machine
When I log as domain user on my WinXp machine and I try to access
Security->Permission (in Bussines Desk)
I receive Internet Explorer Script Error
--------------------------------------------------------
An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 843
Char:3
Error:The download of the specified resource has failed
Code:0
URL: http://djole/retailbizdesk/security/security.asp
---------------------------------------------------------------------
and after that I can't add new users or update old users.
Also when I try to view all the orders(via Business Desk) or access Basket
Manager
I receive message "An HTTP error occured"
It is strange that I don't receive any of these errors when I log on my
machine as
local administrator
I wonder why? |

Hi,
this is a rights problem.
the quick and dirty solution is to grant your domain user local admin
rights, the correct solution is detailed in the installtion documentation
for CS2002.

O.K let's get started with dirty solution.Tell me how to grant my domain user local admin rights. Best of all, I will appreciate if you tell me which part of installation documentation for CS2002 I should pay attention for.

Butt let me tell you one thing I try almost everything to set up right
privileges which includes settings via azman.msc or via Business Desk (when I
log on local administrator). Interesting thing is when I start BD on other
computer on domain(of course I log on that computer with different domain
account than that I logged on my computer) i dont get errors mention in my
previous post. That computer has Win2000Proff installed. Me, I think that is
something about different versions of IE |

Are we talking different domains here ? If so there is no trust between those
domains so add that trust and you'd be fine.
If we're only talking about different account in the same domain ? then you
should add "Domain Users" group to the IIS_WPG group on the web server
hosting the BizDesk.
Hope this helps.

No we don't talking about different domains. I don't know what is IIS_WPG
group, is this group under Windows 2003. Let me remind you that I have
installed CS on WinXP machine. And also let me remind you that when I log
on different computer(i.e on the computer which don't have the web server
hosting the BizDesk) I don't have such a problem |
