Hi Guys,

I am very new to commerce server just gone thru. All basic term and thr
meaning. Now I have come up with some basic questions. Can anyone help me out
to get answer of these.

My Queries are â€“ (with Commerce server 2002)

1. What are the basic configurations we need to do for making site run??
2. What are the basic things we need to do after creating project like
adding new folder pipeline etc.
3. After creating project with VS.Net, do I need to create aspx pages for my
site??
4. Can we add new module in BizDesk of my application??
5. If I do some changes in BizDesk then how those changes get reflect in the
front end (.aspx pages) ??
6. How to create new catalog???
7. How to Import a catalog???
8. How can we create custom pipeline???
9. Can we see the logic behind existing pipeline??
10. Is thr any help available for build-in / default pipeline??
11. Why do have lot of ref. in Web.config file??

Hi Sunil,

A lot of your questions will be answered if you go through the Help file
and in particular you should try to do the "Business-to-Consumer Tutorial"
under "Commerce Server Tutorials" to get a better understanding of all
these proceses.

This tutorial is based on the Retail site which ships as a sample with CS
2002.

After you are done with the tutorial you will typically need to come up
with a design plan for what you are trying to build and then add that
functioanlity through new ASPX pages/sites/pipeline components etc.

Hope that helps you get started with Commerce Server!
