Live Comm 2005 manipulates Active Directory Schema |
|
|
Hi,
I underestand that Live Comm 2005 adds new items to Active Directory Schema.
What happens if I uninstall LCS2005? Does it automatically remove LCS
related items from Active Directory schema?
If I install LCS2005 again , does it recognise schema items that have been
added by previous LCS2005 installation?
Any help would be apprecited,
Alan |

Hello Alan,
As far as I know, any changes to the schema will remain. There is no option
to remove the changes to the schema. Before you uninstall the LCS2005 you
need to Deactivate the server, unprep the domain, remove any existing
domain, and unprep forest. otherwise the object will all be there.
Thanks,
Michael

Thank you for help.
If I install LCS2005 again, is it possible to re-use the schema added by the
prevous installation?

Yeah it should work...
Atleast thats what we do in our test machines/domain while installing the
daily builds of the server..
