Shiv,

http://office.microsoft.com/livecomm will be the starting place for
documentation.

If you use LCS Standard Edition you will need
1 LCS Home Server
1 LCS Access Proxy

If you use LCS Enterprise Edition you will need
1 LCS Front - End server
1 LCS Back-End Server (also requires SQL 2000 sp3a)
1 LCS Access Proxy

The Live Communications Server 2005 Capacity Planning Toolkit is now live on
the Microsoft.com download center.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=107a5e83-ca59-4bcb-a3bc-27efd97a477d&displaylang=en

This should be helpful in planning the capacity of your deployment.

thanks,
