this may not be the forum for this, but ?
we replaced a crashed novell server with SBS 2003 and now we need to get
data from some of the drives that were not backed up before the crash. we
thought we could slot these into a standar pc and copy to a different disk
but the formst is not recognised!!!! any ideas to do this or point us in the
right direction!!! all help appreciated.

Probably your best bet (IMHO) is to contact a Novell Partner, see if they
have a server setup where they can put in your disk and then copy the files
out to a standard disk for you.

You can try and reload the Novell software and only load the needed drivers
that load when Novell is booting. I tried this and was able to log in with a
work station and retrieve the data. It took about 15 hours to complete the
project because it is trial and error.
