Hi Guys

Hope someone can help

Following network setup

SBS2003 server runs main file serving, exchange, etc
Windows 2003 Server used for terminal services

5 users connect to W2003 server for terminal services

On SBS2003 under Terminal Server Licensing we have
Temporary Licenses for Windows Server 2003 - Terminal Server Per Device CAL
Toekn : Tempoary - Issues 5
Windows Server 2003 - Terminal Server Per User CAL Token : Open : Total 5 :
Availabe 5 : Issued 0

Why are these licenses being sent out as tempoary

My users now have the Terminal Services Warning - Your terminal service
tempoary client license will expire in 4 days, Please contact you system
administrator to get a permanent license.

As far as I can see we have permanent licenses and we have paid for them as
well

Hope someone can help !!!!

thanks in advance :)

I haven't tried this on 2003, but my understanding was that all users
receive temporary licenses for a random period of time, then when they
expire the TS manager attempts to issue a permanent license. If it can, all
is well. If it cannot, the users cannot connect.

I wouldn't have expected the warning message, though I cannot recall exactly
how this works.
