memory pool leakage |

Help! We have a Windows 2000 server (SP4) with 44 XP clients. The server
crashes every 5 - 6 days. We have run perfmon and poolmon and traced the
problem to memory leakage caused by a process called 'Thre'. Does anyone know
how we go about isolating the application that is at the root of this and
correcting the leakage. This problem seems to have began when we added a
third HP 4200 tn printer to our network approx 3 months ago? |

Hi Pakia,
I don't know of any process that is called Thre. If you open Taskmanager,
does it show up there? How is that printer connected to the network?

Hi Marina
Thanks for replying to post.
My mistake - 'Thre' is not actually a process and it doesn't show in Task
Manager, it's actually the pool tag from poolmon and it is the one showing
the leakage. It's leaking at the rate of about 700 kb's per hour.
The printer is set up on the file/print server - the one that is leaking -
and is connected via floorpoint and switch.
