problem adding CAL |
|
|
hi, all:
i'm running windows 2000 small business server with 5 CAL and wanted to add
5 more CAL; however, when i ran the setup program in the CAL disk, it gave
me the following error message:
"Your computer is not running Microsoft Small Business Server. You can only
add licenses to a computer running Small Business Server."
what does it mean? i have no clue as of what went wrong; any input will be
highly appreciated.
thanks in advance,
gary |

Insert SBS CD1 and run the SBS Setup to completion. Now your SBS is
properly configured as an SBS, and the CAL disk will work.

hi, steve:
thank you for your reply; i did run the setup again and up to where sbs
setup starts; it gives me the following error:
"This Version Cannot Upgrade the Installed Version of the Server"
my server originally has an sql and rras running; doest that create the
problem?
thanks,
gary
