Installing the Active Directory Schema Snap In |

I am trying to fix some mangled Exchange attributes as a result of
installing a windows 2003 backup domain controller in our Win2K domain.
The instructions state that you simply insert your win2K
CD, browse to the i386 directory and then run the "adminpak.msi" file which
I did.
However, part way through the install you are asked to insert the Windows
2000 "setup" disk.
What the heck are they talking about? I never received a CD marked "setup"
with my Dell Win2K SBS server. I tried all three Win2K SBS CD's to no avail.
Hence, I cannot install the admin tools!
Please help. How can I install the AD schema snap in without a "setup"
disk?? or better yet, maybe someone can confirm what the heck they mean by a
Win2K "setup" disk!!!

Brad,
First, check for the presence of schmmgmt.dll in %systemroot%\system32 - if
it is there open command prompt & type:
regsvr32 schmmgmt.dll
Then do Start>Run>MMC
Console>Add/Remove Snap-In (select Active Directory Schema) >OK/close
your way out of the dialogs.
Save console as <your name>.msc
If schmmgmt.dll is not there:
Install the admipak.msi from \winnt\system32 - this will be the version that
corresponds to your SP level.
(or run from SP4 source files - assuming you are at that SP level)
I don't see why it would ask for any files from the windows cd, but if so,
that would be SBS disk 1.

Is there any possibility you could be pursaded to stay on ONE thread with
all this information that is basically the next step in the exact same
sequence of questions?

Sorry about that.... I wasn't getting any response on some so I kept trying
various subjects to entice a respose out of someone. I thought I deleted the
