Good day,
I have deleted the original folder with Outlook 2000 on
the SBS 2000 Drive. Now I need to unistall Outlook 2000
on a client but it still points to the original install
network drive.

Any work around? I have uninstalled the Outlook several
times, rebooted. Even deleted all entries of Outlook in
the registry, rebooted, then reinstalled and get a message
that it still needs the path of the data1.msi and when I
point it to the CD, it says not a vaild installation point.
Sure could use some advice.

Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility

I've never used this, so your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the reply but I have tried that as well. I
havent seen anything like this before. Thinking that
every entry from the registry is gone, plus the office
directory being deleted after uninstalling all apps, and a
reboot. I would have thought I would be ok.

Thanks for the input though.

Have you tried recreating the installation point on the SBS? It seems like
that would work, although I'd bet the system can't be fooled with a phony
file (such as some other file renamed to data1.msi). You probably don't
have to do anything fancy - just recreate the directory and stick the file
in there from the Outlook install CD.

Another option - do an upgrade to Outlook 2002 or 2003 using a local
install, then uninstall that. With that option, probably even a reinstall
of Outlook 2000 from the CD would work.

go here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=982348b3-0005-4792-a15c-34f738b3c328&DisplayLang=en

To get the Office 2000 Resource Kit Core Tool Set.

This includes a utility which will completely remove office 2000 components from the workstation

You will install this on the workstation in question

I've used this tool a few times and it works great
