Can not start Net Logon at NT4 BDC after upgrade to 2003 dom |

Hi,
I'm just upgrade PDC to 2003, some xp client can be logon to the new domain,
but the BDC with exchange 5.5 continous prompt for "The Net Logon service
terminated with the following error: Access is denied". which also cause the
Exchange 5.5 to stop because of the fail of Net Logon. Experts, is there any
solution, thanks. |

Hi Eric,
Basd on my research, This behavior can occur if you set the
RestrictAnonymous registry value to 2, which can occur by editing the
registry directly or by applying the Hisecdc.inf security template. The
resolution is to change the restrictanonymou reigstry key to 0.

Eric, did you ever fix this issue - having same problem and right now I'm considering purchasing Upromote to demote the BDC hoping to fix it, either that or upgrading the NT BDC to server 2000, the BDC has Exchange 5.5 on it which won't start because of the dependancies on Net Logon service.
Just happened suddenly, been on 2003 Dom since August 2005 no issues...
help?
