We have successfully migrated an NT 4.0 domain (PDC and all BDCs) to W2K3
and Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2K3. We have 1 remaining NT 4.0 server (not a
DC) running Proxy Server 2.0. Servers and workstations in the LAN connect
to the internet through this Proxy Server, some using the WSP client. We
have configured Exchange 2K3 to use the WSP client and all is working well.
We are running Exchange in native mode.
Can we switch to W2K3 native mode or do we have to wait until we upgrade
NT4/Proxy Server 2?

Thanks

The NT server is irrelevant to the domain mode.

Native/Mixed/Interrim/Win2003 Server modes are strictly
about the DCs and the Database (increased capabilities or
reduced limitations in higher modes.)

IF you plan no more BDCs then you can upgrade.
(Unlikely you would ever install one now.)

One caveat -- if you don't like your domain name,
it might be better to go back to NT first which is
about the only thing you LOSE by upgrading -- no
more BDCs means no more going back to NT
domain.
