Hi Group,

I am a Windows 2000 MCSE and I have a job interview next week for a Server
2003 upgrade specialist. I cheekily mentioned that I had been using 2003
for quite a while now as well. ooops.
Now, in reality I have been using 2003 for a while but only as part of a new
2003 domain, not an upgraded 2000 domain. So, I am furiosly reading
everything I can find in preperation for the interview. That bit does not
bother me.

What does bother me is all the "things" could go wrong with an upgrade of a
2000 AD domain. As I have not done one in real life, I am hoping that
somebody here could give me a few pointers and help on what
can/could/has/would happen/go wrong with a domain upgrade.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Bob,

Happy New Year!

Officially, we only support the break-fix issues in the real migration
process in this newsgroup.

Generally speaking, if you follow the standard steps, you will have few
problems in the upgrading process from Windows 2000 domain to Windows 2003
domain.
Below are some common mistakes when upgrading a Windows 2000 domain to a
Windows 2003 domain.

In addition, you may have a careful look at this newsgroup. I think it will
probably help you with the incoming interview.

Good luck!

Best regards,

Frances He
