This database cannot be moved to another box. You can move it to a
different drive but it should be in the same server as the catalog system
See this link for more information on the MSCS_Catalogscratch database

Hi,
Having looked at the activity of databases on the SQL Servers (we are
running DB's accross 3 boxes) the MSCS_CatalogScratch gets used alot! It
currently resides on a busy box - can this database be easily moved to
another box or is it a case that once it is set-up the connection cannot
changed?
Regards
Mat
