HI,
if you just install HIS2004, the components will run out of the box (at
least they should). However, you will not be able to create new REs which
these components can use, as the new RE Types are incompatible with the old
RE Types. You would have to go through TI Designer (which is hosted in
Visual Studio .Net 2003) to upgrade the components and then you can assign
them to new REs.

Subject: Migrating COMTI components from HIS 2000 To HIS 2004

We have an existing application running on Windows 2003 with HIS 2000. The
application consists of about 120 COMTI components built under HIS 2000.
What is the recommended approach of converting these HIS 2000 COMTI
components to HIS 2004? Will these HIS components work as is within HIS
2004?
Developers will still use Visual Studio 6.0 ( not migrating to .net at this
time)?
We currently have HIS 2000 applocation Intergration COMTI builder on
developer workstations ? Can the same be done for HIS 2004 ?
Thanks! |
